After a little bit of watching people scramble for Harry Potter books at Barnes and Noble, and being interviewed by the news and radio, we hustled over to the crack-rock Kroger. Upon leaving Barnes and Noble, there were still lines extending to the far ends of the store, making it basically impossible to get a book for another three hours. When we arrived at the ghetto Kroger, however, there were several new copies that had just been set out, and we each bought one for ten dollars less than Barnes and Noble was charging. And we even got some Frosted Mini-Wheats. Total time spent buying The Half Blood Prince: 3 minutes.
And damn good Mini-Wheats.
